ANNE NNE-ISE ESSESSIEN is a result-oriented State Auditor-General with over 20 years of experience in financial auditing. She has a proven track record of promoting fiscal responsibility and transparency in Government Agencies. Anne is dedicated and seasoned, with a strong commitment to enhancing accountability and transparency within State Agencies.
Her key competencies include financial auditing, risk assessment, internal controls, compliance management, government accountability, data analysis, and policy implementation. She is skilled in interpreting complex financial data and effectively communicating findings to diverse stakeholders.
Anne has led and executed numerous financial audits, identifying inefficiencies and areas of improvement in State Agencies. She has also developed and implemented risk-based audit strategies, ensuring comprehensive coverage of key financial processes. Anne collaborates with Government officials to enhance transparency and adherence to financial regulations.
Prior to her current role, Anne has held positions as an External Auditor, Head of Department at the Government Account Office of the State Auditor-General, and Internal Auditor in various ministries and agencies in Cross River State.
Anne holds a Post Graduate Professional Diploma in Accounting from the Nigerian College of Accountancy, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Abia State University, and a National Diploma in Business Administration from The Polytechnic, Calabar. She is also a Certified National Accountant (CNA) and a member of the Association of National Accountants.
